A lot of riders assume a bigger carb equals more power—but that’s dead wrong. The right carb size equals more power.
Think of it like a river: widening the flow before it narrows just creates turbulence, not speed. Oversized carbs reduce air velocity, weaken throttle response, and make your engine feel lazy off the bottom.
OEMs know this. Over the years, they’ve added things like Throttle Position Sensors (TPS) to compensate—not for the engine, but for the carb. TPS is often used to retard ignition timing at low RPMs, just to give the carb time to catch up because it lacks air velocity. It’s a workaround for poor fuel delivery, not a performance upgrade.
At Lectron, we don’t need band-aids. Our BILLETRON and PRO-SERIES carbs are tailored to your engine displacement, maintaining optimal air velocity and fuel control across the entire throttle range. That means stronger low-end, crisper response, and more usable power—without relying on the ECU to patch things up.
OEMs use a one-size-fits-most approach. The Keihin PWK38, for example, has been slapped on everything from 125cc to 500cc bikes. Do you really think all those engines should use the same carb?
At Lectron, we tailor the bore size to your specific engine displacement. That’s why our BILLETRON and PRO-SERIES carbs feel more responsive, more controlled, and more powerful—because they’re built for your bike, not the assembly line.
