Will the carb run perfect out of the box?

Each Lectron carb is built and pre-set using the specs you provide. While we aim for true plug-and-play, engine condition and maintenance—like worn reeds, tired top ends, or leaking seals—can affect performance. Minor tuning is recommended after install to dial things in, but once it's set, it stays set. No jets. No guesswork.

What is the recommended oil and ratio to run with my carb?

Most well known brands make a good product. We recommend picking a brand, using the oil they recommend for your riding type (trails, mx, desert, etc), and running it at the ratio they recommend. Each oil is different and is engineered to be used at a certain ratio. If the factory recommended ratio for a given oil isn't working for you double check that you are using the right oil for your application.

What is the Xcelerator metering rod?

The Xcelerator is a patented metering rod design that includes an internal fuel reservoir and controlled orifices. It stores fuel near the venturi and releases it instantly during rapid throttle openings, solving the lean hesitation that occurs when engine vacuum drops faster than fuel delivery can respond. It functions as a mechanical accelerator pump built directly into the metering rod.
